The Mom Space Affirmations

Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. Repeating affirmations daily to yourself is a great way to open up the mind and thoughts on self-awareness. Affirmations for women that are very specific to the women’s mind is one thing I focus on in my daily life and self-care routines. Repeating affirmations, affect the subconscious mind, which in turn, influences behavior, habits, actions, and reactions.

The Mom Space & Affirming Myself in Motherhood

The MomSpace is for the mamas! In these affirmations, I share some of my favorites that have pushed me to look into the mirror and smile and gain confidence. When I started my blog She’s A Wreck in 2018 I wanted to form a community around mothers being open about mental health and motherhood.

In the black community, the stigma of mental health and motherhood is taboo. In recent years platforms such as Therapy for Black Girls and Health in Hue have normalized getting support and providing mental health resourcess. However many still sto think motherhood and mental health go together.

Post-Partum Depression stats say differently. The best thing I did for myself and mental health was engaging with an online community even before my son was born. I’ve met some of the most amazing women and life long friends online and that has always been the core message of my personal brand @lautumnco.

I want moms to know

it’s okay to put yourself first

It’s ok to seek help

It’s okay to say you are NOT okay

Be rooted in the mantra that you are doing the best you can!
